December Board Meeting Summary
The Budget and Audit Committee of the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) Board of Trustees convened at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at the PSRS/PEERS office at 3210 W. Truman Blvd., Jefferson City, Missouri. The regular session of the Board of Trustees meeting followed at 9:30 a.m.
When to Expect Your Monthly Benefit Payment
Payments begin the same month that your retirement becomes effective and are available for use on the deposit date.

For the third consecutive year, the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in Money Management” by Pensions & Investments (P&I).
PSRS and PEERS Honored with National Awards for Excellence in Funding and Administration
Once again, the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) have earned national recognition for outstanding work. The Public Pension Coordination Council (PPCC) has honored both systems with the 2025 Public Pension Standards Award for Funding and Administration.

Contribution Rates Will Stay the Same for 2026-2027
PSRS and PEERS contribution rates will remain unchanged for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027). The PSRS/PEERS Board of Trustees made this decision at the November board meeting.

Coming in January: 2% COLA for Eligible Benefit Recipients
The PSRS/PEERS Board of Trustees has approved a 2% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for eligible benefit recipients, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The increase will first appear on Jan. 31, 2026, benefit payments.
