2025 Legislative Session Ends: Bills Pass to Extend Working-After-Retirement Waiver, Protect Investment Policies

Lawmakers sent 66 bills to the governor’s desk, with three pieces of legislation containing PSRS/PEERS priority provisions. No legislation passed that negatively impacts PSRS/PEERS or its members.

PSRS/PEERS Welcomes Chief Financial Officer Robertson

Brandon Robertson will join the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) as its new chief financial officer, effective May 12, 2025. Anita Brand, current chief financial officer, announced her retirement earlier this year.

Board Sets Interest Rates, Elects Leadership for Upcoming School Year

At its April meeting, the PSRS/PEERS Board of Trustees set interest rates and also voted to re-elect Beth Knes as chair and Dr. Eric Park as vice chair for the 2025-2026 school year (July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026).

Spring 2025 Legislative Update

This week is spring break for the Missouri Legislature. State legislators have filed more than 2,300 bills and resolutions since this session began on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. PSRS/PEERS is tracking more than 60 bills that could potentially impact the Systems and our members.
