Understanding Your PSRS/PEERS Membership Status

From the moment you begin working in a covered position to the day you retire and beyond, your status helps determine which benefits you're eligible for and the actions you may need to take.

PSRS member contribution rate = 14.5%; PEERS member contribution rate = 6.86%

Contribution Rates Will Stay the Same for 2026-2027

PSRS and PEERS contribution rates will remain unchanged for the 2026-2027 school year (July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027). The PSRS/PEERS Board of Trustees made this decision at the November board meeting.

Coming in January: 2% COLA for Eligible Benefit Recipients

The PSRS/PEERS Board of Trustees has approved a 2% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for eligible benefit recipients, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The increase will first appear on Jan. 31, 2026, benefit payments.
