2026 Missouri Legislative Session Begins

Missouri state capital

The 2026 Missouri Legislative Session started Wednesday, Jan. 7, and as always, PSRS/PEERS is closely watching any bills that could affect our retirement systems or our members.

Legislation has been filed that would further impact working-after-retirement limits for PSRS/PEERS retirees, expand the number of critical shortage positions available for retired PEERS members, and add a higher benefit factor for calculating PSRS service retirement benefits for members with 33 or more years of service at retirement.

The session is scheduled to end Friday, May 15, with spring break from March 13 to 20.

Keep in mind that bill status can change daily. We’ll share any important updates on our website.
