June 2021 Board Meeting
The June 8, 2021 meeting of the Budget and Audit Committee of the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) Board of Trustees convened at 8 a.m. at the Hilton Promenade in Branson, Missouri, with the regular session of the Board of Trustees meeting following at 9:30 a.m.

PSRS/PEERS Names Stacie Verslues Director of Employer Services
Stacie Verslues, of Jefferson City, MO, has been named director of employer services for the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) effective June 1, 2021.

Legislative Session Ends, No Bills with Direct Impact on PSRS/PEERS Passed
The 2021 Missouri Legislative Session ended on Friday, May 14 with no bills passing that directly impacted PSRS/PEERS. Legislation had been introduced that would have made changes to some working after retirement limits and Critical Shortage Employment, as well as a provision that would have allowed PSRS members with 32 or more years of service to retire with a higher benefit factor.

April 2021 Board Meeting
The Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) Board of Trustees convened on April 11 and April 12, 2021.

Working After Retirement Limit Waiver Extended through August 31
On March 26, Governor Mike Parson signed an executive order extending the state of emergency in Missouri through August 31, 2021. Because the current waiver of work limits for PSRS and PEERS retirees is tied to the duration of the state of emergency, that waiver is also extended through August 31, 2021.

Update on Pending Legislation
Since the General Assembly began the 2021 Legislative Session on January 6, 2021, more than 1,800 bills have been introduced. PSRS/PEERS is closely monitoring over 200 bills. The 2021 Legislative Session ends on May 14, 2021.

PSRS/PEERS Names Lisa Scheulen Chief Technology Officer
Lisa Scheulen, of Jefferson City, MO, was named chief technology officer for the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) on March 16, 2021.

February 2021 Board Meeting
The Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) Board of Trustees convened on February 28 and March 1, 2021.

Bill Betts Named Assistant Executive Director, Operations for PSRS/PEERS
Bill Betts, of Jefferson City, Missouri, has been named assistant executive director, operations for the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) effective January 11, 2021.
