2018 Tax Tables Available

The IRS has issued 2018 tax withholding tables that reflect the changes made by the recently passed federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. If you are a PSRS/PEERS benefit recipient, this may change your net benefit payment amount.

PSRS/PEERS Board of Trustees sets 2018 Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) at 1.63%

At the November 3, 2017, PSRS/PEERS Board of Trustees meeting the 2018 cost-of-living adjustment was set for eligible benefit recipients. Details regarding the decision are found in the attached letter.

PSRS and PEERS Receive National Award for Meeting Public Pension Standards

PSRS and PEERS have both received the Public Pension Coordinating Council’s (PPCC) Public Pension Standards 2016 Award in recognition of meeting professional standards for plan design and administration as set forth in the Public Pension Standards. PSRS has received the award each year since 2004, and PEERS each year since 2005.

PSRS/PEERS Fiscal Year 2017 Investment Return Exceeds Objective; Systems Remain Financially Strong

The Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) ended fiscal year 2017 with an investment return of 12.5% (12.3% net of all fees and expenses), exceeding the Systems’ investment return assumption of 7.75%. This performance was also better than that achieved by the Systems’ investment policy benchmark, which returned 11.0% for the year.

Governor Eric Greitens appointed Beth Knes of Weldon Spring, Missouri, to the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) Board of Trustees on August 22, 2017.

PSRS/PEERS Processes Detect Fraudulent Activity; Members Notified

As previously reported, on July 17, 2017, the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) became aware that PSRS/PEERS Web Member Services accounts were fraudulently created in an attempt to redirect members' retirement benefits.
