PSRS/PEERS CIO Craig Husting Wins National Leadership Award

Craig Husting, Chief Investment Officer at the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems (PSRS/PEERS), has won a 2025 Industry Innovation Award.

This national award, presented by Chief Investment Officer, honors leaders who excel at institutional investing. Husting won in the category of public defined benefit plans with more than $25 billion in assets.

According to the award’s website, the annual honor recognizes leaders “who have thrived and been incredible leaders, even as markets have been volatile, inflation is in flux, and the political climate has changed.”

“Craig’s award is a reflection of his long-standing commitment to excellence, innovation, and fiduciary responsibility,” said Dearld Snider, PSRS/PEERS Executive Director. “His steady leadership has helped ensure the financial strength and long-term sustainability of our retirement systems, and we are proud to see his work recognized on a national stage.”

Husting joined PSRS/PEERS as chief investment officer in 1999. He leads the management of the investment portfolio and oversees the strategic diversification of assets, including real estate, private equity, private credit, and hedge funds.
