PSRS/PEERS CIO Craig Husting Named Finalist for National Leadership Award

Craig Husting, Chief Investment Officer at the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems (PSRS/PEERS), has been named a finalist for a 2025 Industry Innovation Award.
This national award, presented by Chief Investment Officer, honors leaders who excel at institutional investing. Husting is a finalist in the category of public defined benefit plans with more than $25 billion in assets.
According to the award’s website, the annual honor recognizes leaders “who have thrived and been incredible leaders, even as markets have been volatile, inflation is in flux, and the political climate has changed.”
"Craig’s nomination is a reflection of his long-standing commitment to excellence, innovation, and fiduciary responsibility," said Dearld Snider, PSRS/PEERS Executive Director. "His steady leadership has helped ensure the financial strength and long-term sustainability of our retirement systems, and we are proud to see his work recognized on a national stage."
Husting joined PSRS/PEERS as chief investment officer in 1999. He leads the management of the investment portfolio and oversees the strategic diversification of assets, including real estate, private equity, private credit, and hedge funds.
