Bonnot Named Incoming Director of Internal Audit at PSRS/PEERS

The Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) is pleased to announce the promotion of Lexi Bonnot to incoming director of Internal Audit, effective Oct. 1, 2026. Bonnot will continue to work closely with the current director, Jeff Hyman, until his retirement in April 2027.

The PSRS/PEERS Internal Audit department provides independent and objective assessments to enhance operations and strengthen internal controls. Internal auditors evaluate risk management, governance, and business processes to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. Through these efforts, Internal Audit helps leadership and the Board maintain confidence that PSRS/PEERS operates with integrity, accountability, and transparency.

Bonnot joined PSRS/PEERS in October 2022 and was serving as an internal auditor III before being named to her new role. Throughout her time with the organization, she has demonstrated strong technical skills, integrity, and a collaborative approach that has supported both the internal audit team and the broader organization.

Bonnot brings a strong background in accounting and business, along with audit experience across multiple industries. She has also earned her CPA license, CIA, and MBA, further preparing her for this leadership role.
