PSRS/PEERS Announces the Reappointment of Knes to the Board of Trustees
The Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) Board of Trustees announces the reappointment of Beth Knes by Governor Mike Kehoe, affirming her longstanding commitment to Missouri’s public school and education employees.
Knes has served on the Board since her first governor appointment in 2017 and as Board chair since 2024.
"Beth’s continued service ensures ongoing stability and strong governance for PSRS/PEERS," said PSRS/PEERS Executive Director Dearld Snider. "She has consistently demonstrated sound judgment and serves from a deep appreciation for the people teaching and supporting Missouri students. We are grateful to have her continued leadership as we work together to deliver financial security and peace of mind to our members."
Knes retired from public education in 2014 with more than 20 years of service. Her final position was Executive Director of Student Services for Rockwood School District in Eureka, Missouri. She previously served as an administrator at Rockwood and at Parkway School District in Chesterfield. In addition, she served for 19 years as a reading specialist teacher at Rockwood. Early in her career, she was a special education teacher at Wentzville School District and a reading specialist/psychological examiner at Troy School District.
Knes holds a Missouri principal certificate, a master’s degree in educational administration, a master’s degree in special education, and bachelor’s degrees in elementary education and psychology, earned from Washington University in St. Louis.
