PSRS/PEERS Announces Katie Webb as New Board Vice Chair

The Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) is pleased to announce the election of Katie Webb as vice chair of the PSRS/PEERS Board of Trustees. Webb’s fellow Board members voted her into the role during the Sept. 2 Board meeting.

“We’re excited to have Katie in this leadership position,” said Executive Director Dearld Snider. “Her energy, insight, and firsthand classroom experience support our continued focus on delivering exceptional service every time to every PSRS/PEERS member.”

Webb, who was elected to the Board in February 2023, has served as a dedicated K–5 music teacher at Mark Twain Elementary since 2009. She has also served as an administrative intern at Veterans Elementary, gaining additional leadership experience in curriculum preparation, student support, and school operations. In addition, she  is an active member of the Parent Teacher Organization.

Webb’s record of statewide leadership includes serving as chair on two committees for the Missouri State Teachers Association. She has also served in leadership roles with the Hannibal Community Teacher Association and the Northeast Region Teachers Association.

Webb holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in elementary education from Truman State University, as well as an Education Specialist degree in educational leadership from Arkansas State University. Outside her professional work, she contributes to her church community and the Evening Etude Music Club.
