Pensions & Investments has honored Susan Conrad and Rene Collins in its 2026 Influential Women in Institutional Investing awards.

We are pleased to share that two members of the Investments Department at the Public School and Education Employee Retirement Systems of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS) have earned national recognition. Pensions & Investments has honored Susan Conrad and Rene Collins in its 2026 Influential Women in Institutional Investing awards. Conrad has been named a Lifetime Influential Woman, and Collins is recognized as a Rising Star.

Conrad serves as a managing director at PSRS/PEERS. She oversees real estate strategy and contributes to the management of the Systems’ diversified investment portfolio. Her recognition as an Influential Woman reflects her career-long excellence and her impact on institutional real estate investing.

“Susan has significantly strengthened PSRS/PEERS through both exceptional investment performance and a lasting impact on the culture and the development of the internal investment team,” said PSRS/PEERS Chief Investment Officer Craig Husting. “Susan was the first director of real estate at PSRS/PEERS in 2004, when the program was implemented. She has overseen every dollar invested into the program and has led the development of a well-diversified and strong performing real estate composite. More importantly, Susan has embodied the PSRS/PEERS mission and is a carrier of our culture.”

Collins is a senior investment analyst at PSRS/PEERS. She supports private market research, analysis, and portfolio oversight. Her Rising Star honor highlights her emerging leadership, commitment to professional development, and growing influence in private market investing.

“Rene has exceptional analytical rigor, is dedicated to our mission, and has made meaningful contributions to our private equity and private credit portfolios,” Husting said. “Her work reflects the standard of excellence and professionalism that strengthens our investment team and advances our long‑term objectives.”

Both honorees were nominated by colleagues who value their contributions to PSRS/PEERS and the institutional investment community.
