July 1 is the most popular retirement date for PSRS/PEERS members. This year, we have more than 3,800 members retiring in July. We wish you the best as you begin this exciting new chapter! Here are three tips for a smooth start to retirement:

Make sure you have a personal email on file with us. Have you been receiving information from us on your work email? If so, you need to verify a personal email address. You can update your email on Web Member Services or by calling us. Do this now to keep receiving important communication!
Mark your new payday. If you retire on July 1, you will receive your first benefit payment on July 31. Payments are made by direct deposit on the last working day of each month. See the 2026 schedule.
Communicate with your beneficiaries. Be sure to tell your beneficiaries about your retirement selections and let them know how to contact us. We are here to support you and your loved ones.
