PSRS/PEERS Welcomes Michelle Varcho as Director of Human Resources

Michelle Varcho joins PSRS/PEERS as the new director of human resources, effective June 3.

Varcho brings a wealth of experience to PSRS/PEERS, with over 25 years in human resources. Most recently, she served as the senior vice president and director of human resources for Central Bank.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Columbia College and a master’s degree in business administration from William Woods University. She has also been a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 2003.

As a seasoned HR leader, Varcho is known for her ability to transform organizational culture, structure and talent strategies. She has led initiatives for Fortune 500 companies, multi-state regional firms and nonprofit organizations. Her diverse career includes roles in financial banking, consulting and entrepreneurship.

The PSRS/PEERS team is delighted to welcome Varcho, who succeeds Kim Harris following her retirement. Kim's decade long tenure leading the human resources department was marked by her hard work, dedication and guidance during the pandemic for which we are deeply grateful. We now look forward to the talents and perspectives that Michelle brings to our team.
