During these unprecedented times, organizations are asking themselves, “Are we positioned to continue to serve our customers; remain operational?” Many are not. PSRS/PEERS most definitely is. We are operational. We are serving our members and employers. We will pay retirement benefits on time.

Things you should know as a member of PSRS/PEERS:

  • March benefits will be paid as planned on March 31.
  • Our Information Center is open 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. and available to take your call or email.
  • We offer chat via the public website, www.psrs-peers.org, and under the secure portion of the site, Web Member Services.
  • Pre-Retirement Planning Seminars are canceled, but we are offering webinars. Dates are listed under Upcoming Events on our website home page.
  • You can sign-up for an individual phone counseling or web counseling session by contacting our office or logging in to Web Member Services.

PSRS/PEERS has been preparing for unforeseen, unexpected events for several years now. While no one could have predicted the coronavirus and the global impact it is having, there are other natural disasters for which the Systems have prepared in advance. That preparation has served us well.

“I am proud to say that we have positioned ourselves well during this time of crisis,” stated PSRS/PEERS Executive Director, Steve Yoakum. “Our staff is dedicated to continuing to serve our membership at the highest level possible. We are the primary source of income for over 98,000 retirees across the state and we take that very seriously.”

The PSRS/PEERS office is closed to outside visitors, as are many organizations and businesses across the state. Staff is set up and fully functional working remotely, which is all part of the business continuity plan put in place several years ago.

The PSRS/PEERS Board, management and staff are here for our membership. Stay safe and stay healthy.
