New and Improved Member Statements Coming Your Way

Your 2008-2009 Member Statement includes more information about your membership than ever before in an expanded, easier-to-read format.

Your Member Statement is a record of your:

• Cumulative account totals as of June 30, 2009,
• Annual compensation (including employer-paid health, dental and vision insurance premiums),
• Total membership service credit (earned, purchased or reinstated), and
• Current beneficiary designation.
  

The new statement format includes:

• An improved breakdown of your credit, including the name of your employer, as well as credit and compensation earned each year, and
• Expanded information on credit purchases, showing not only credit you have paid for, but also any credit for which you have applied and not yet paid, as well as the total amount you have spent on purchasing credit.

Based on your membership status, your statement contains information on vesting, qualifications for service and disability retirement and benefits for your beneficiaries if you die before retirement.

Please note that interest shown on this statement should not be reported for tax purposes, unless your contributions and interest are withdrawn, and an IRS Form 1099-R is issued.
